The 13 Hidden Treasures of Internet Marketing in Nigeria

Most people get into internet marketing in Nigeria because it sounds good, looks good and seems like an easy way to get online money fast. But what these people don’t realize is that initial sales are only a small piece of the pie. Don’t be like those people and miss out on the hidden treasures of internet marketing.

As you read this article, I want you to focus on these hidden treasures and look at your job or most traditional businesses. If you compare what you know to what I’m going to share with you, it will be obvious that your job or traditional business can’t offer the steel of a deal you can get with being an internet marketer. And I’m not mentioning obvious benefits like not wasting time and gas money on commuting to work.

Now these are the 13 hidden treasures of Internet Marketing in Nigeria

  1. Little Investment: Yes and terrific tax breaks too. When you operate a home based business you can write off the costs for:  The area in your home you use for the business, office supplies (including your computer), related tools (web hosting fees, journals, magazines, cable TV), job expenses, travel expenses, meals and entertainment, advertising, legal and professional services, training and much more. Talk to an accountant to get you a list of all tax breaks you may qualify for. In most cases this is not at all necessary.
  2. Low start-up costs:  There are many online businesses that will cost at least N10, 000 to get started and many more you can start below N10, 000. That’s the very low end. You can actually start making money on the internet by joining an affiliate program for free and marketing with free ads. Even if you are getting your own site up, it can be one for only a few thousand nairas.
  3. Low operating Costs: Once you are up and running, you can build your online business on a budget of a few thousand nairas per month and this may include operating expenses like web hosting fees. But the downside here is the less money you spend in operating your business in every facet, the more time it will take for you to break even and join the league of multi millionaires. All the same, you will still make money even if you are not a big spender.
  4. High Profit margin: Since your costs are low, you keep more of the money you make from sales. If you sell a product delivered online you don’t have to pay for shipping. This improves your profit margin.
  5. Market for Little or No Money: You probably know this but do not take it for granted. Free online marketing includes submitting to free ads, do ad swaps with your ezine, submitting to article directories, publicity on forums, using pay per click like adwords and facebook ads. Check out how much advertising costs offline. Offline, you can mail 1, 000 letters which may cost N10, 000 but online you can e-mail your offer to 100, 000 for free.
  6. You don’t need your own product: There are tons of folks with great products that you can sell through affiliate programs. You can begin from http://www.cj.com for ideas on what products you can start promoting with affiliate programs. You can make a great living just marketing for other people in your spare time.
  7. Time Freedom: You build your business as fast or slow as you want. You can work all day or 2 hours per night after you put your kids to sleep. Either you work one day a week or seven days a week, it’s all up to you.
  8. Job security on Autopilot: Remember Job security doesn’t exist in the world of being an employee. Even if it takes you 3 to 5 years to build your business from part time to full time at home, you are still ahead of millions of people depending on a paycheck for all 40 to 60 years they have to be an employee
  9. Open Business 24 hours a Day: Your site works for you while you sleep, and so does your advertising online and the articles you have submitted, including your ezine. Consider every little thing you do to market to become ‘a new-round-the-clock ‘employee you just hired for free. These ‘’employees’’ will stay out on the web working for you for a really long time. The secret here is that the older your online business gets, the less work it takes to make money.
  10. You keep the cash: if you are an employee, you are a cog in the company machine. The company keeps most of the money your labor produces. As you build your company online, you keep all the money your labor produces. Since you are the owner instead of the employee, the bigger your business grows the fatter your wallet gets.
  11. You don’t have to Figure it out: Plenty of folks have been in this game for a while. They created the blueprints so you don’t have to. If you learn how to do it from people who are already making a killing, it’s simple. You o what they’ve done and you will get the same results.
  12. Cheap and Free Resources: You can subscribe to ezines and feeds full of free tips. You can buy information on how to build your business for as little as N1, 000. Obviously, the more expensive the information, the more valuable it is, and this will help you to build faster. But you can find plenty of great support that’s cheap too online.
  13. You are a part of a community: Online marketers are usually nice people willing to help you. They are great bunch of people dealing with. If you want support along your journey, it’s only an email away.

Do you know of any other business with all of these benefits? Network Marketing is the closest and it isn’t even close to being this beneficial, unless you use internet marketing to build it.
